We are a dedicated and experienced husband and wife team, Rob Barber and Charlotte Bennett-Diver; and as owners of this unique roving tented camp, we personally curate Golden Africa journeys for every guest, from initial planning to delivery.
We have been in the safari industry for nearly 20 years and therefore adventurers are in truly capable hands to have a curated superior safari showcasing the best of Botswana with us. We ensure our itineraries provide a vast diversity of habitats to explore as well as diversity of experiences to fully immerse travellers in the wild and spectacular areas we roam. You can book our roving camp or we can build a full itinerary booking our roving camp and other 3rd party camps for a full Botswana safari experience. Not only are we passionate about offering truly unforgettable safaris, we are proud to have a close, respectful relationship with Botswana’s indigenous people that we share with our guests. About as far from the safari norm as it’s possible to get, Golden Africa’s luxury roving camp takes the safari experience back to where it began, with a small, intimate luxury camp set up just for you and your group in some of the very best wilderness locations Botswana has to offer.
Our luxury roving camp is set up for your group in selected Botswana wilderness locations, with spacious Meru-style en suite tents, a menu prepared by our camp chef and professional guiding. Groups of up to 12 guests can travel together, with the camp moved between the locations in their itinerary.
Our refrigeration runs on deep-cycle batteries. These are recharged by solar power in camp, by the truck while travelling and by mains electricity at base. We do not use generators. Cooking uses bottled gas, and we use open-air wood fires.
