Botswana is Open to International Travelers
Botswana has been open to international travelers since December of 2020, and air travel to Gaborone, Kasane and Maun International Airports has resumed.
Golden Africa safaris will look a little different in 2021 because of COVID-19, but nothing can detract from the beauty, excitement, and healing power of being in the sheer majesty of beautiful Botswana for a tailor-made safari. Due to the challenges that the global pandemic has presented, our tented camp will remain in one location for the duration of 2021, with Khwai serving as the sole camp site or as the hub for longer safaris that may include additional destinations. We have made this decision to ensure the safety of our visitors, allowing us to practice more stringent sanitization protocols. Khwai is a community-run concession based along the northern shore of the River Khwai in the north-eastern part of the Okavango Delta in Botswana. It sits between the Moremi Game Reserve and the Chobe National Park, beautifully situated in a lush area along the Mbudi Channel.
Beginning in 2022 we will return to our many and varied locations, so start planning now!
